Monsanto’s Roundup Causing DNA Damage
The fact that masks are worn when applying herbicides and the danger warnings placed at newly sprayed fields, are indicative of the health hazard posed by the chemical, glyphosate, in Monsanto’s Roundup Ultra Max. In a new research by the Institute of Science in Society, the Roundup was found to cause cellular and DNA damage including chromosomal abnormalities with higher concentrations leading to the dead of cells. It took 57.2 parts per million of Roundup to kill half the cell population in the research and this is 200 times below the amount used in agriculture. Roundup is causing harm to millions of people as it is sprayed on the plants we eat and used as consumer herbicide in households.
